Dr. Rachel Buckley
I am a cognitive neuroscientist whose overarching research interests lie in elucidating sex differences in risk and resilience to Alzheimer's disease markers (both biological and cognitive). I am currently funded with an NIH-NIA K99/R00 Pathway to Independence award, which focuses on establishing the extent to which sex differences exist in levels of amyloid and tau burden as measured with positron emission tomography (PET). I completed my PhD at the University of Melbourne in the area of subjective cognitive decline in clinically-normal older adults. My postdoctoral training was completed under the mentorship of Dr. Reisa Sperling in the Harvard Aging Brain Study at Massachusetts General Hospital.
